This is probably the greatest thing to happen in my life – to be able to share this with you. If there’s two big trees invariably sooner or later there’s gonna be a little tree. It’s so important to do something every day that will make you happy. You’re meant to have fun in life. Volunteering your time; it pays you and your whole community fantastic dividends.

You can do anything your heart can imagine. With practice comes confidence. You can create the world you want to see and be a part of. You have that power. Water’s like me. It’s laaazy … Boy, it always looks for the easiest way to do things And that’s when it becomes fun – you don’t have to spend your time thinking about what’s happening – you just let it happen. We’ll make some happy little bushes here.

That’s the way I look when I get home late; black and blue. You gotta think like a tree. There are no limits in this world. If what you’re doing doesn’t make you happy – you’re doing the wrong thing.

That’s what painting is all about. It should make you feel good when you paint. Isn’t it fantastic that you can change your mind and create all these happy things? Now, we’re going to fluff this cloud. Fluff that up.

That’s why I paint – because I can create the kind of world I want – and I can make this world as happy as I want it. Those great big fluffy clouds. In life you need colors.

Isn’t it great to do something you can’t fail at? This is a happy place, little squirrels live here and play. Isn’t that fantastic? You can just push a little tree out of your brush like that. No pressure. Just relax and watch it happen. Maybe there’s a happy little bush that lives right there. We must be quiet, soft and gentle.
